Each school should submit approximately 60 minutes of music based on a selection process determined locally at each school. Selected composers are expected to attend both the rehearsal and performance of his/her work. For any compositions that require performers, it is highly recommended that the composer supply them. In the event that this is not possible, the UTEMS staff will attempt to find requested performers, but can make no guarantees of success.

Submissions must include:

• 1 audio CD containing stereo versions of all works
• 1 data CD containing composer/performer bios, photos (150 dpi), program notes, and technical details.
• Housing form for each participant interested in staying w/ a UT-Austin student

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Received by Friday, October 7, 2005.

CONCERT FORMAT:
Concerts will be held in Jessen Auditorium featuring an 8-channel playback system. The performance space will be configured for the following audio formats: CD, DVD, ADAT and multi-channel audio played from computer. The following video formats are supported: VHS, S-VHS, DVD, miniDV, or computer playback (via Quicktime, etc...)..

A Macintosh G4 Laptop will be available running Max/MSP and Supercollider with 8 channels of audio I/O through a MOTU 828. All other software/hardware is the responsibility the composer.
