EARS and Feet was started about 12 years ago by Russell Pinkston and Yakup Sharir to facilitate and encourage collaboration among composers working with electronic music and choreographers. As time has changed and technology has continued to be developed, the inclusion of video artists into the collaborative process was the next natural step. This year, the UT Electronic Music Studios will be in a collaborative triptych with choreographers from the Department of Theatre and Dance and video artists from Transmedia and Convergent Media.
EARS, EYES, and FEET 2004 will take place on May 7-8, 2004 with a possible third date, May 6, reserved for site specific works.
